The East Side Center for the Arts in Cincinnati, OH, is conveniently located in the Village of Newtown.
Art classes for all ages and skill groups are taught in an academic way through-out the year. We also give students and local professionals the chance to attend Open Studio right near their neighborhood.
We give students the necessary skills for drawing, painting and three dimensional form, that are so often skipped in art instruction today, replaced by a more contemporary form of expression with a paint brush. We believe that once you have your drawing skills polished, you can proceed with the art style of your choice, less the frustration.
The East Side Center for the Arts believe that our focus also increases students critical thinking skills-a certain need in todays every changing technical environment. We help high school students prepare their portfolios for submission not only for the admission process to the schools of their choice, but also fine tuned enough for scholarship consideration.
Younger students learn more progressive art terminology and practices as do adults, yet our classes are not only informative they are fun, new friends are made and classes form a cohesiveness that helps all attending.
Summer time we relax, and make sure the classes are a true adventure in a more camp/workshop like settings.
The Center is also home to a working artist studio and small gallery which is open to the public.
Join us; all ages and skill levels, open studio, beginner adult classes, college & high school preparation, home school, summer camps, plus general enrichment and art history.
